Situated between Clonmel and Dungarvan in the Nire Valley, Hanora's Cottage Guesthouse and Restaurant is surrounded by picturesque countryside, in the heart of County Waterford, Ireland.

The Wall family extend to you a very warm and heartfelt Céad Míle Fáilte to Hanora’s Cottage and to the Nire Valley. In 1967 a very young enthusiastic couple, Seamus and Mary Wall with their young son Michael, came to live in a tiny two roomed cottage beside the church and river in the beautiful Nire Valley. The little cottage was first built in 1891 for Seamus’ great grandparents, John and Norrie (Hanora) O’Gorman. Then came their daughter Hanora, with her husband Jim Harte who in turn passed the cottage on to Seamus’ parents Hanora and Michael Wall. So when Seamus and Mary came to live here “Hanoras’ seemed the perfect name for the little cottage that became their home.

Over the years the tiny cottage has been carefully and lovingly converted into an exclusive, multi award winning country house and restaurant, which has never lost the love, warmth and welcome around which it was created.

Spacious, thoughtfully furnished, individual decor, all with jacuzzi baths, the hallmarks of comfort at Hanoras Cottage. Superior rooms and junior suites have double tubs and for Honeymooners or that very special occassion, Room 5 is a MUST, with it's super kingsize bed, huge tub with cascading water feature, double shower & steamer! understated luxury!
