The Greenway

Witness the glorious views from the Waterford Greenway, a 46km off-road cycling and walking trail along an old railway line between Waterford City and Dungarvan. Stop off in Kilmacthomas and recharge with a coffee and a bite to eat in Coach House Coffee.

Insider Tip: Bikes are available for hire from a number of locations comprising of Waterford, Kilmacthomas and Dungarvan with a free shuttle bus to all hires. For information see The Greenway Man.

The Copper Coast

Take advantage of the beautiful beaches nearby. Stroll hand-in-hand on the sandy walkways of Bunmahon Beach and Clonea Strand. Uncover the fascinating geology and archaeology of the Copper Coast UNESCO Geopark in Bunmahon. Follow the self-guided trail with walking cards available from the centre.

Sea Kayaking on the Copper Coast with Pure Adventure

Pure Adventure offers sea kayaking Trips along the South East coastline of Ireland! Our primary location is The Copper Coast which runs along the Waterford Coastline Running along from the popular town of Tramore County Waterford.Sea kayaking trips offer you the opportunity to get up close and Personal with marine wildlife in the form of Seals, Dolphins (When we are very Lucky), Birds and plant life. All this in the Picturesque setting of incredible rock features cause by coastal erosion such as Sea stacks, Arches, Caves, Tunnels, Blow Holes and Caverns, in all our travels to different kayaking locations we have yet to find one as stunning as this coastline! Copper Coast sea kayaking is a unique experience.


Blackwater ECO Tour

Blackwater ECO Tours are situated in the picturesque village of Villierstown in West Waterford. Here you can take a guided boat trip along the River Blackwater or opt to take the wheel yourself and go for a self guided tour. Great fun guaranteed, pick up a picnic in the local shop before you jump on board and check into the luxurious glamping pods for a night of glamorous camping. The options include a 90-minute guided tour on our tour boat ‘Zingara’ which can take up to 11 people, a self-drive option in which you can skipper one of the boats, kayak or canoe. Suir Blueway Tipperary

Follow the Comeragh Mountains and the River Suir across the breath-taking Blueway from Cahir to Carrick-on-Suir, offering walks, cycling paths and a kayak route. Along the Suir Blueway Tipperary you pass through Clonmel, a prominent town in South Tipperary dotted with darling cafés and restaurants and welcoming people before making your way to the charming village of Kilsheelan and finishing up in Carrick on Suir where cafes, restaurants and a hotel await you after your scenic trip along the Blueway.
